Friday, October 18th, the varsity boys tennis team traveled to Kalamazoo college to compete at states.

The match turned out “decently well, 1st singles and 3rd doubles both won their first round, but lost in the second,” senior Devin Jones said.

First singles senior, Sebastian (Bubba) Smith, played St. Joseph and won 6-1 6-1. Third doubles, played by senior Devin Jones and sophomore Tyler Ray, matched against Grand Rapids Christian and won 6-4 6-4.

The team was dedicated to making it into states this year, and all of their hard work really paid off in the end.
