National Honors Society broadened their service by landscaping the area near the Student & Family Service Center doors on Saturday September 21st. Annually, NHS runs the school blood drives, plans and organizes Winterfest, and ushers graduation in the spring, making this event new for everyone. Although many members were apprehensive about the results, the group was pleased with their work when all was said and done.

“We’ve seen a lot of team work today,” NHS President Mallory Kochanek said. “It’s a great way to do something together.”

Although the students planned for a six hour endeavor, they completed their goal in about two hours. The gardens turned out beautiful, filled with colorful mums and positive energy.

“We had a great time bonding. I’m glad I could be here to hype people up,” senior Katherine Mallia said.

The next event NHS will organize is the holiday babysitting, which they hope will provide the same positive energy.
