This past Friday, the class of 2020 was honored for their academic achievements. A ceremony was held during advisory so that all students would be able to attend. Principal Woods, Mrs. McBride, Dr. Darga and the junior class council all spoke at the event. The event was held in the theater. Students with a GPA of 3.4 or above were awarded with paperweights, pins, or a certificate.

“It made me feel like I wasn’t achieving anything in school because I didn’t win any of the awards,” a student who wishes to remain anonymous said. The award ceremony is set to be a new tradition at PHS and will also take place next year.
